The Heart Behind Aurora.

Founded by Ansley Roman, Aurora Transport was born from years of experience serving as an emergency responder across multiple sectors, where she witnessed the profound weight of life’s final moments firsthand. Through both professional experience and personal loss, including the passing of both her parents and several close friends. Ansley recognized a compassionate and logistical gap within after-life care that the industry had yet to fully address.

Guided by empathy, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to dignity, she created Aurora Transport to bring a more human-centered approach to specialized mortuary transport during life’s most difficult transitions.

Why The Name Aurora?

The name Aurora was inspired by Ansley’s profound love for Alaska and the Northern Lights, a place deeply connected to both wonder and remembrance in her life. Alaska was the one place her father always dreamed of visiting but never had the chance to see before his passing. Years later, while standing beneath the Northern Lights for the first time on the rooftop of Alyeska Resort, Ansley felt an overwhelming sense of peace, believing in some way that her father had finally made it there.

Aurora became a symbol of hope, gentle transition, and the quiet belief that those we love continue somewhere beautifully beyond us. It also offers families a sense of privacy and discretion, allowing our presence to feel softer and more compassionate during difficult moments.

To us, Aurora represents a soft landing for grief, remembrance, and hope.
